Founding offer — the first ten yards

Green means paid.
Red means overdue.
That's the whole yard.

Storage Yard Manager is software for caravan, motorhome and boat storage yards — built by someone who runs one. It's a map of your yard on your phone: who's in each plot, who's paid, who's late, and whose insurance is about to run out.

The demo needs no signup, no email address and no card. Have a proper look round before you tell me anything about yourself.

Yard map grouped into zones, with overdue plots ringed in red, reserved ones outlined and out-of-service ones hatched

Walk round a real yard first

There's a fully loaded demo yard — 102 plots, real customers, overdue accounts, the lot. Click anything you like; you can't break it, and it resets itself.

The four things yards actually use

The yard, colour-coded

Every space at a glance — green paid, amber due, red overdue, grey vacant. Tap one to see who's in it, what they drive and their phone number.

Chasing, in a couple of taps

One screen lists everyone past their due date, worst first. Press Send reminder and a polite email is already written — and logged, so you never chase the same person twice.

Insurance dates that warn you

Every vehicle's expiry date in one place, with a warning 30 days out and a ready-made reminder for the owner. It's the feature yard owners say they'd least like to lose.

Made for two wellies and a phone

Install it to your home screen like an app. Big buttons, light on data so it's quick on a patchy signal, and a dark mode for early starts.

Mario Szlapa, who built and runs Storage Yard Manager

Why a yard owner built this

Mario Szlapa

I ran a caravan storage yard on a spreadsheet, a diary and a few notes in the truck. It worked until it didn't — and the bit that finally got me was the chasing: an evening with the bank statement working out who was late, and whether I'd already asked them.

So I built this for my own yard, and it's run it ever since. Nearly everything in it started as a problem that yard actually hit. I build it, I support it, and if you email, you get me — not a ticket queue.

The awkward questions

I'm not technical. Is this going to be a nightmare?

It was built for a yard, not for IT people. If you can use WhatsApp you're overqualified. And founding yards get the setup done with me on the phone — you talk, I'll tell you where to click. A 100-space yard takes about an hour.

What if you disappear?

There's an export-everything button — spreadsheets and a restorable backup — and it works even if your subscription lapses. If I got hit by a bus you'd download your data and carry on. No lock-in; that's deliberate, and you can test it on day one.

My spreadsheet works fine.

Mine did too, for years. The spreadsheet isn't the problem — the chasing is. If your spreadsheet writes the reminder emails and logs them so you don't ask twice, honestly, keep it.

Do my customers have to do anything?

No. Out of the box it's a tool for you and your staff; customers just get well-timed emails from your own address. There's an optional portal you can switch on later if you want them paying online — it's off unless you turn it on.

Is the £15 real, or does it go up?

Real, and held for as long as you stay subscribed. It goes to £39 for everyone after the first ten yards — but not for the ten. That's the whole point of a founding offer, and it would be a poor way to start if I didn't honour it.

I store boats / trailers / motorhomes, not caravans.

It doesn't much care what's parked on the plot. Spaces, customers, money and dates work the same whether it's a touring caravan, a boat on a trailer or an HGV unit.
